About Membership

Members of the Alamo Defenders Descendants Association work to promote and preserve the positive memory of the alamo defenders, couriers and non-combatants. They also research and preserve historic sites related to the Alamo and the Texas Revolution. ADDA members also support and attend events throughout the year to honor significant places or dates pertinent to Texas Independance.

Membership Types

There are four types of memberships available in the ADDA. Those are:

• Lineal Members - have a direct bloodline to the defender, non-combatant, courier, or survivor of the Alamo.
• Lateral (collateral) Members - have a direct bloodline to the defenders, non-combatant, courier, or survivor’s brother or sister.
• Associate Members - claim no descendent status.
• Honorary Members - appointed by the Board of Directors for outstanding service to the organization.

Minimum age for membership is 16 years of age. ADDA does not discriminate against race, gender, creed, color, religious or political affiliation.
